Will the stuff arrive? I bet "maybe"
(posted by Becci)
It is Friday, and the second truck, complete with high school classmate, is expected to arrive today. I got a call yesterday morning telling me he'd made it as far as Lafayette, IN on Wednesday and hoped to make it another 600 miles (the legal limit) yesterday. That SHOULD mean an early arrival today, but so far, no word.
I revisited the garage yesterday and learned that the grill is a total disaster. Despite recommendations from the movers to "get it fixed," I think I'm going to have to throw in the towel on that one, as I'm not sure I can trust any repair to a gas line. I'm not ready yet to blow up the new house.
About the salad dressing, well, I call it a time capsule. In 1998, John Glenn became the oldest person to go into space, at 77. I was thinking that I might just save that bottle and someday own the honor of sending the oldest bottle of salad dressing not to space, but to North Carolina. I suppose though, it doesn't HAVE to come.
