Adventures in North Cackalacky

Side note: okay folks - I have tried and tried and tried to publish this post until my little fingers are almost bloody from typing and re-typing. Blogger doesn't like my links for some reason and I've finally given in and let go of the hope of neat little links. So please excuse the messy links and the fact that I am posting this almost 2 weeks late!

Mom H came for her second North Carolinan visit this weekend and due to her saavy shopping on www.restaurant.com- she got a steal of a deal on a gift certificate and we had a lovely dinner at Giovanni's: www.giovannisnc.com.

We also ventured to Chapel Hill where we enjoyed the beautiful weather by having lunch outdoors in the patio/garden at Weathervane (www.southernseason.com/cafe.asp), the cafe at Southern Season (www.southernseason.com/default.asp). Photos from that excursion are below.
Of course, we did a few other things beside eating. Namely - we took Mom to the dog park where she got to meet all the dogs (and people) that we spend our Saturday and Sunday mornings with. And we did some gardening. ROSE gardening specifically...
