Three cheers for two mortgages!
It's official. The house on 1813 is mine. Or the bank's rather, and I'm now to give the bank all I have, and then some. Till I'm one hundred and nine, I think.
The house in Madison showed three times yesterday and I dreamt last night that an offer would come in today. Let's hope that happens.
Purchased blinds for the house on Sunday with grand hopes that I'd not have to dress in the closet anymore. Fourteen sets to hang though (not including the sun room) seemed a bit daunting, so I hired someone to do it. They'll be up by the time we get back from Wisconsin!
One more day until I get to see Heather's spartan Buddhist retreat. We'll pack up what little remains, ship the rest off to the Hospice thrift store, and set on our way. Rumor has it that the route through Tennessee is the best, so we'll try that heading South. Only after a final stop at OlFa though.

HH: I'm sure you could visit some of our favorite southern stops en route to NC - Sonic, Dixies, and that one where they sold Bush, Stars n Bars etc t-shirts. Some sort of civil war reinactment pit stop with salad bar. I'm almost jealous :) -JD

You know it! I thought about our ill-fated overnight in Memphis en route back from Georgia when Becci informed me that the TN route was the way to go... I recall wanting to see Elvis but we got in too late and the place was too seedy to venture out. Do you remember or have you been more successful at blocking that memory than me? Much love, hh
