A large puppy or small moose?

Yesterday at 7 pm, we picked up what appeared to be either a large puppy or a small moose, aka our labradoodle: Ernie. His flight from Dallas was delayed 2+ hours so upon arrival in Greensboro he had been traveling for more than 8 hours and we had one lethargic and confused puppy on our hands.

He started perking up once we got home and seemed interested in all the toys etc. at his disposal, as well as the food and treats that he didn't have to share with anyone! He's about 26 lbs and almost 4 months old, so we're hopeful that he's at least half-grown... (Hope with/for us, please!) We got him from the same breeder that Michelle (Becci's sister) got her labradoodle Token from earlier this year: My What a Doodle Ranch in Kansas (Sharon Williams, www.mywhatadoodle.com). After a pretty quiet night (I only had to get up with him once), Becci went to work this morning and Ernie & I set out about our day... All is going well so far and we're scheduled for vet appointment to get a "new puppy check-up" at 12 noon. In theory, as the vet is only 3 blocks from our house and Ernie is lease-trained, we should be able to walk. We're going to try at least! More soon!

Plus - Becci is going to post an update on our DMV trip(s) yesterday. I'll just tease all of you to "stay tuned" by noting that the o (as in 2nd letter of her middle name) in Rebecca Jo is now (or perhaps has always been) optional...
