How Becci Became My Home Service "Professional" Wrangler Apprentice
Finally, at long last, after multiple long phone calls (mostly done by Becci), an in-home technician call to examine our damaged furniture and declare it - yes, damaged and repair a few of the minor issues, a re-delivery appointment scheduled to replace the damaged pieces and missed, AND a re-re-delivery appointment scheduled...
Sofa Express pulled up at our house this morning 35 minutes early to replace our damaged nightstand, headboard, and footboard.
We hardly knew what to do with ourselves. Early? No. Couldn't be. But yes...
However, dear friends and family - rest assured - it couldn't be (and wasn't) that easy.
Of course we weren't ready for them - we thought we had a good hour or so to clean out the nightstand, get Ernie settled, unmake the bed if necessary, etc...
We got all of that situated as quickly as possible and the guys went out the to truck to get the pieces ready... Only to find that...
They brought us a damaged footboard to replace our damaged footboard. No joke. And - we refused it, of course. So now the dance starts again to get the footboard.
I guess we're lucky because the headboard's been replaced along with the nightstand. So we should only need to make about 16 more phone calls and have 5 more in-home visits before our lovely, pay-extra to have it right away, bedroom set is complete. I have handed over full wrangling responsibility to my apprentice, Becci, as I'm certain she's up for the challenge.
Sofa Express? No. Sofa Depress.
And, just to make the day more fun - our Time Warner Cable Modem/Network isn't working properly.
All before 8:30 am.
If I have to call Time Warner today, I'm seriously resigning from Wrangling. Screw it. I might just take up hitch-hiking and go "off the grid." Becci and Ernie can come along if they want.
