right, so maybe we did fall off the face of the earth... or, something like it.

i am sitting at my desk at work, illegally posting to our blog with serious doubts that we have any readers left as it's been, oh - 1 day short of 1 month since our last (lame) post and prior posting had been spotty at best most recently prior to that.

and to any of you friends and family still out there checking the blog and hoping for updates - we apologize. we have many reasons for our lameness but know that they will be pointed to as, and likely are, excuses...

i will say that there have been good intentions but everyone knows what people say about the road to hell being paved with good intentions.

so - what have we been up to lately:

b-uncg reunion and nurses reunion weekends, travel for work, lots of prep work for an upcoming board meeting, and a re-energized running schedule with a semi-regular running buddy (pam)

h-lots of new job related meetings, meet-and-greets, and the like along with learning how to manage the fragile egos of male young professional volunteers and sometimes joining in on the running schedule but 'not so's you'd notice'

e-a new pool and lots of fun with the neighbor boys and dogs and reformulated fancy food that now contains both bison AND salmon and a trip to doggy sleep away camp complete with a swimmin' pond

b&h-tons of tilling (we broke 2 tillers, seriously) in our major backyard garden which is now growing: tomatoes, sweet & hot peppers, tomatillos, yellow beans, sugar snap peas, zucchini, yellow squash, cantaloupe, cucumbers, mesclun greens, romaine lettuce, beets, leeks, yellow onions, red onions, green onions, and sunflowers (photos pending) AND recent travel to wisconsin for ann & brian's wedding and lots of fun w/ family & friends in good ol' madison (and nearby sauk)

all-new backsplash tiling in the kitchen, extended tile in the full bathroom, a cleaning lady, excitement for the upcoming visits of Amy, Chad, & Heidi (next weekend) and Mom Julie, Uncle Gerry, and Aunt Janinie (the following weekend), and... planning Ernie's 1st Birthday Party!!!

there's more i'm missing, it's certain. but it's an update none-the-less...
