Furniture Land South(ern Hemisphere)

So, we live in the furniture capital of the world. And we needed furniture. Badly.
We set out to High Point on Saturday and after some general misguidedness (maps make life SO much easier), we found our way to Rose's, Rose's Clearance Center, and then finally, to Furniture Land South. They're all huge. I mean really huge. At Rose's, they give you maps at the front of the store and serve sandwiches and cookies in the middle, I think to help you buy things, but we speculated it was so you wouldn't starve if you got lost and couldn't find your way out. Furniture Land South was the size of Stevens Point.
At the end of the day, we weren't sure if we were buying furniture because we loved it or because we were just so darn tired of looking at it. In the end, we got a pomegranate colored chair, ottoman and sofa with a chaise lounge attached and a neutral, dark khaki colored couch for the living room. We learned only when we were ready to go that they didn't take credit cards. Excellent!
On Sunday, we stayed closer to home in our search for bedroom furniture. The pictures here show our new set...which is both a poster bed style and white, two things I thought I'd never get. They seemed right though...and they'll be delivered on Thursday. I'm so excited to have places to put things. Our clothes continue to be in boxes on the guestroom floor, as we have no drawers in which to put them. We got two of these armoires...one for each of us.

Hello fellow Southerners,
It must be true about the abundance of furniture in NC because we have a store here in the CoMO called "Carolina Connection" bringing us factory direct furniture from NC. I've never gone because I have a strong suspicion furniture is a scam. Other scams of note: mattresses, carpet, and babies.
