It's been awhile since they let me put anything on the blog and I have some updates

(posted by Ernie)

Well, it's been a big weekend for me... On Friday night, the full moon was making me crazy and my mommies couldn't figure out what was making me such a nut-case. They're silly - everyone knows about the full moon!

On Saturday, like always, I went to the BarkPark and got totally muddy from rolling around with my buddy Petey. Then, with my muddy dreadlocks, I went to the vet to get my toenails clipped and get to go back on Monday for grooming because I have too much hair in-between my toes and it's getting matted and I guess they think that's bad. I don't mind though because I love the vet and the vet-tech named Toni gives me millions of puppy cookies and tells me that I'm perfect. Toni weighed me and much to my mommies' surprise, she told them that I weigh 59 POUNDS and because I'm only 7-1/2 months old, I still have some growing to do. I'm already taller than most of the Labs I know so I think this is pretty exciting.

Today, Becci left for someplace called Nashville and Heather's going to take care of me all by herself for a few days. I've got plans to try and talk her into some things that Becci won't allow me to do...

Heather got very excited reading the newspaper and showed me a picture of some black-haired cousin of mine. Here he is: I guess it's a big deal because it's in some fancy human newspaper and my mommy was very excited because unlike some of my other cousins who have curly hair, this cousin has shaggy hair like me and his eyes look alot like mine. If you want, you can look at the article that got my mom so excited: Designer Dog Fights, New York Times Magazine, 2.4.07

Talking about my cousins - one of them is coming to live with some people down the street... It's a little girl and she lived with Sharon - the same lady that I lived with before I came to live with my mommies. I guess she's brown like me, but both of her parents were labradoodles and I think that my dad (the poodle) is this girl's grandpa or something like that. Weird but it will be nice to have a blood relative living in the neighborhood.

I'm hoping to ride around a lot in the car today and have my paws crossed that I can go to the BarkPark again today since I'm getting a bath tomorrow. Plus - I have Puppy Class tomorrow night and then Becci comes home on Wednesday and might have a treat for me and then on Thursday, I get to go to PuppyPlayschool (which some people call Doggy Day Care) again.

Wow. My life is good.

Sniff ya later,
Love, Ernie

PS: Here is a new picture of me - check out the awesome muddy dreadlocks on my chest:

Dearest Ernest,

It was fantastic seeing you earlier this week. Please don't tell you moms about the Alaskan ale I let you drink, nor of the gambling or drunken karaoke. They'd never forgive me.

Cheers,

CJ
